Pametne vasi lahko prispevajo k boljši samooskrbi s hrano

Koncept pametnih vasi bo spodbujal inovativnost in digitalizacijo na podeželju ter posledično samooskrbo s hrano, v kmetijstvu pa bodo ti procesi šibkejši, saj bi večji premiki zahtevali močnejše prizadevanje zasebnega sektorja in državnih ustanov.

»Koncept pametnega podeželja bo prispeval predvsem k znižanju stroškov pridelave in k izboljšanju konkurenčnosti primarnih proizvajalcev hrane,« menijo na Ministrstvu za kmetijstvo, gozdarstvo in prehrano (MKGP). Dr. Emil Erjavec, agrarni ekonomist in dekan Biotehniške fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani, pa opozarja, da so teme, ki jih prinaša koncept pametnega podeželja, sicer »realne, se pa odmikajo od Slovenije zaradi zaostanka na tehnični in razvojni ravni, ki nista spodbujeni s strani zasebnega sektorja in državnih inštitucij.«

Sestavni del pametnega podeželja je tudi pametno kmetijstvo. »Ne glede na položaj, v katerem se nahaja, je kmetijstvo še vedno najpomembnejša gospodarska panoga na podeželju,« menijo na Kmetijsko gozdarski zbornici Slovenije, kjer so prepričani, da je trajnostna pridelava hrane tudi pametna pridelava hrane. »Torej si razvoja pametnega podeželja brez trajnostne in pametne pridelave hrane ni mogoče zamišljati,« poudarjajo.

Pravijo, da na samooskrbo s hrano vpliva veliko dejavnikov in da je zato težko reči, kako bi nanjo vplival koncept pametnega podeželja, čeprav so prepričani, da bi bil vpliv opazen tako na področju pridelave kot tudi na področju porabe hrane. »Najmanj, kar je, se lahko s takšnim konceptom približa pridelovalca in potrošnika, večje povpraševanje po lokalno pridelani hrani, zmanjša se stroške pridelave in podobno,« pravijo na Kmetijsko gozdarski zbornici.
